Clean Communities
New Jersey Clean Communities is a statewide, comprehensive, litter-abatement program created by the passage of the Clean Communities Act in 1986. It provides funding to municipalities to implement litter abatement programs, with guidelines on how the funds can be used.
One of the activities that Allamuchy uses these funds for is with a Roadside Cleanup Mini-Grant program. Through this program, groups receive money for picking up and bagging garbage and recycling along designated township roads. See the links under "Resources and Links" for more information.
