Elections in New Jersey are authorized under Article II of the New Jersey State Constitution, which establishes elections for the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, and the members of the New Jersey Legislature. Elections are regulated under State Law, Title 19. The office of the New Jersey Secretary of State has a Division of Elections that oversees the execution of elections under state law.

Voting in Allamuchy

Allamuchy has four voting districts. Allamuchy's primary polling location is the Allamuchy Municipal Building, 292 Alphano Road. The Allamuchy Fire Hall (Hafner Hall), which shares a parking lot with the Municipal Building, is also used as a polling location when a high volume of voters is expected on Election Day.

A ballot drop box is available at the Municipal Building for those voters who have applied for, and received, their Vote by Mail ballots.

2022 Important Dates for Voters (from the Warren County Elections site)

  • Wednesday, April 13:  Last day to file Party Declaration Forms to change political party affiliation for the June Primary
  • Tuesday, May 17: Last day to register to vote for the June Primary Election until 4pm at your Municipal Clerk’s Office or until 9pm at the Election Board
  • Tuesday, May 31: Last day to apply by mail for a Mail-In Ballot for the Primary Election
  • Friday June 3:  Early voting begins for Primary election.  Friday & Saturday 10am - 8pm and Sunday 10am - 6pm.  Locations can be found on this website.
  • Monday, June 6: 3:00 pm Last opportunity to apply in person for Mail-In Ballot in the County Clerk’s Office
  • Tuesday, June 7, 2022: Primary Election Day: Polls are open 6am to 8pm
  • Tuesday, October 18: Last day to register to vote for the November General Election until 4pm at your Municipal Clerk’s Office or until 9pm at the Election Board
  • Saturday, October 29:  Early voting begins for the General Election and runs for the following 9 days ending on Sunday, November 6.  The hours are M-Sat 10am - 8pm and Sun 10am - 6pm
  • Tuesday, November 1: Last day to apply by mail for a Mail-In Ballot for the November General Election
  • Monday, November 7: 3:00 pm Last opportunity to apply in person for Mail-In Ballot in the County Clerk’s Office
  • Tuesday, November 8, 2022: General Election Day: Polls are open 6am to 8pm
