Note:

The original government of Allamuchy Township was composed of three committee members. In 1931, a fourth committee position was added. In 1980, the Township transitioned to a Mayor-Council form of government, with the mayor now elected directly by voters rather than appointed by the Township Council. As a result of this change, Mayor Alfred W. Walmsley became both the last mayor appointed by the Council and the first to be elected by the residents of Allamuchy Township during his tenure from 1979 to 1985. The Allamuchy Township Municipal Court was established in 1980.
