Land Use Board

The Land Use Board meets as needed on the 4th Thursday monthly (except in November and December) at 7:30 PM.  These meetings are open to the public.

 

The Land Use Board has powers and jurisdiction in accordance with the Municipal Land Use Law (N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1 et seq.), to include:

  • Make, adopt, and amend, as necessary a Master Plan for the physical development of the Township
  • Administer the subdivision and site plan review process
  • Hear and decide applications for conditional uses
  • Participate in the preparation and review of programs or plans required by state or federal law or regulation
  • Assemble data on a continuing basis as part of a continuous planning process
  • Prepare a program of municipal capital improvements projects projected over a term of six years, as requested by the Township Council
  • Consider and report to the Township Council as to any proposed development regulation, in accordance with the ordinance
  • Perform advisory duties as assigned by ordinance or resolution of the Township Council
  • Perform specific duties, as defined in the ordinance, relative to proposed development
